We showed up at 7am and Will went back for surgery around 8:45am. He didn’t leave us happily, but they said he calmed down very fast and all has went well since.
They just told us that he is almost done and off of bypass. We are waiting to talk to the surgeon. Hopefully that fast surgery time means all went well.

Just talked to the surgeon and sounds like things went great. They removed all the membrane. They also did an echo and the leakage is even gone right now! If his murmur is gone I might track down the surgeon and hug him.
7:00pm
It feels like it’s 11pm. This has been a long day, but filled with good news. Will is loaded up on pain meds and should sleep most the night. The hardest part by a mile so far has been walking to his room in the ICU hearing him call for “mommy” and “daddy”.
Thank you to everyone who has sent their well-wishes and support today. We can’t have our cells on in the ICU, so communication is limited.
